Summer Look Book

Hi Friends,

And welcome back! I've linked several of my summer must haves. Clinking on the photo itself will open a new window for one of the main items and additional links below each photo. I'll share some tips along the way. Happy Shopping!

High wasted shorts have really been on the rise the past few years and why the heck not?! I always find the perfect, longer length shorts at Gap. Click the photo for the link.

I've paired these with a striped basic with a twist, literally. This top is from Romwe, the most affordable site on the internet. It's not a US based company so leave some time when ordering, receiving items can take a few weeks and always read the reviews. Order accordingly but I usually go a size up.

White Keds are also a must in my closet and super comfy for traveling. These cutie earrings can be found at Lulus and sunnies from Madewell.

Yet another Romwe buy. Romwe has the best two piece sets. This one and the one below are both a Romwe order that I was very pleased with. I've paired both with JCrew sandals and simple accessories. These gorgeous pieces speak for themselves, and that cactus print....I mean, come on...

Both of the above styles are paired with JCrew Sandals (similar style linked) and simple accessory adds including my favorite Chanel perfume and Kate Spade wallet. Essie Nail color is Ballet Slippers.

YA'LL!!! This bathing suit. Literal dreams. I found this deep blue suit at Urban Outfitters and....wait for it, ON SALE! Click the photo to shop this look.

Sunnies from Aerie.

What's not to love about this Tee from Asos? I love a good graphic tee and this one takes the cake. Also, can anyone peep me in those glasses.. hehe oops. Shorts can be found at...of course, Romwe. The site that will absolutely break the internet with their amazing prices.

Paired with JCrew Sandals, Aerie Sunnies, Essie- Ballet Slippers, and basic gold hoops.

Okay, but again, ya'll. These shorts from Abercrombie.  These are the perfect summer short. They come in five different colors and again, are on sale! Click the photo and go check them out!

Paired with a basic striped tee from Old Navy, Madewell Sunnies,

What's better than a "you make me smile tee" and denim cut offs???... I've got nothing! Find this look linked.

Also, these big cat eye sunnies are super in this year and give every dressed down look a bit more flare. The perfect sunnies for hung over brunch. Cross body from Kate Spade.

Denim on denim, please! I love the denim on denim look and it's super in this year. I've paired this long sleeved denim button down from Old Navy with a pair of high wasted, cigarette cut blue jeans. I always invest in my jeans and these were no exception. They can be found at Zara for under 100.00 and totally worth the investment. They're flexible and comfy and are machine washable. This is the perfect outfit for a cooler, rainy day.

Also, peep the shoes from above at DSW. Sunnies from Madewell, highly recommend, duh.

This is an absolute basics outfit for summer. The shorts are the same Abercombie from above and can be pair with just about anything. This style has a white graphic tee I snagged on a Zara trip, super soft, with my favorite Denim jacket from ShiShi boutique and JCrew sandals.

I have a WHOLE blog post about Shi Shi and what sort of pieces to invest in for long term wear. This jacket is up there as is Shi Shi on my must haves list. Shi Shi is a locally owned boutique on the Upper West and East side. It is hands down the most wonderful shopping experience one could have in the city. All of their pieces are unique with a perfect fit. See more about their costumer service and store front on the link below.

I've also added my favorite lippy, Glossier. Another wonderful company with the best costumer service. I highly, highly recommend their lip colors and boy brow. I'm wearing Zip.

THIS DRESS! It may not look like much in the picture but it is a perfect summer dress up or down look. Find the link below to see it in all its glory! I ordered a size smaller than the recommended from Asos.

Athletic wear. My favorite clothing type in my closet. I wake up at 6am everyday to get the kiddos ready for school so athleisure is my go to look. I splurge on my athletic wear and usually purchase Lululemon because their clothing feels like butter. Literally. The material is so soft and always looks slimming. Find a similar look below.

The millenial pink sneaks can be found at Aldo and Calvin Klein cotton bra.

I've added a few of my favorite accessories here to get up close and personal with them. When you're looking to complete an outfit or trying to get a casual chic NYC look a hat is ALWAYS the way to go. This is a basic black wide brimmed hat and it makes every grunge outfit go from 7 to 10. Link to a few favs below.

Let's talk for a second about watches. There are a lot of amazing watch brands out there but for less than 200 you can get a beautiful, sleek watch with a lifetime warranty from Skagen. This is my favorite watch brand because the leather molds to the wrist so quickly and as you can see is not overly complicated. I love the simplicity of it and they always sell beautiful leather colors. I highly, highly recommend investing in a Skagen watch.

Gldn Jewelry. The two necklaces can be found another favorite site, Gldn. Their prices are very affordable and come with the best layering pieces I've seen. Again, simplicity is my go to and these take the cake. Check them out below.

Earrings always complete a look for me. I've linked the earings above.

Well friends, that concludes my summer staples for 2018. I hope you enjoyed and can find some wonderful, unique pieces for your closet. For me it's all about expressing my personal style and wearing things that are a statement of me- mostly simple classic looks with a little flare. Casual chic is my go to with all the moving about the city I do daily. I am an everyday woman with an everyday budget and functional style.

Much Love,

E.
